Meet the team!

G J Beads is now one of the UK's largest bead suppliers. Having started as a small enterprise in 1994, it has grown to employ 9 people. We import most of our products direct from the manufacturers all over the world. The beads are packaged in-house, and are available both in retail and wholesale quantities through our outlet in St Ives, Show Room in St Erth, mail order, on-line and mobile shops.

Our range varies from the popular Japanese seed beads and Delicas to high quality Czech glass beads and colourful Greek ceramics. We offer a wide range of stringing materials, jewellery findings, books and useful accessories.

Our friendly staff are always available to help you with your bead and colour selections, as well as offer advice with techniques.

Key personnel

Jill Thomas - Owner Jill started beading as a hobby and turned it into a full time business in 1994 with the start of G J Beads. Today her role in the company remains central, overseeing the business, completing the accounts, finance & budgeting, maintaining the web site and pushing forward for development. Jill's first book 'Start to Bead' was published by Search Press in February 2007. Jill teaches regular weekly beadwork classes at the warehouse in St Erth.
